The 2024 edition of Visiva, a historic event for the digital decoration supply chain and professionals in the sector, conceived and organized by Ser.Tec. Group, concluded successfully.
In its new guise as Visiva Lab Special Furniture and Design Edition, the event focused on three interconnected and essential themes for the made-in-Italy sectors: open innovation, collaborations, and sustainability.
Three Days of Innovation: Visiva Lab 2024
Visiva Lab 2024 offered three days of workshops and insights highlighting the potential of new technologies in the furniture and design sectors. Each day featured industry experts who shared cutting-edge ideas and innovations.
September 18
Giovanni Re, Engagement Specialist at Roland DG EMEA, introduced new tools to optimize 3D printing with the workshop 'Adding Dimension to the File', followed by a session dedicated to innovative tactile sensations with 'DG DIMENSE: The Dimension of Beauty'. This case study explored how textured wallpapers, which stimulate our senses, can transform environments, highlighting the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality.
September 19
The focus shifted to 3D printing and digital decoration with Leonardo Pisanello, CEO of Layerloop 3D, who explained how to combine the two technologies into a productive flow that goes beyond the design phase.
Andrea Ruffato, Commercial Director of Ser.Tec. Group, highlighted the case story of Bulbo as an example of creative collaboration between companies in the supply chain to develop innovative products and open up new business opportunities.
Another key moment was the workshop on 'Developing New Products and Business with Digital Decoration', with the contribution of Gianpaolo Pezzato, President of Maarmo, who shared a business model strongly inspired by customization, skillfully mixing craftsmanship and digital technologies.

The final day featured Andrea Radin, Innovation Manager at Ser.Tec. Group, who discussed new sustainable business models enabled by emerging technologies. The sustainability theme was further explored in the afternoon by Marco Roveda, an expert in Industry 5.0, who explained how digital printing can support the transition towards a more sustainable and efficient business.
